Episode 18: The History Of Eagle Nest And The Moreno Valley, Cattle Mutilations, Goddess Fest With Jenny Bird, Melanie DeMore and Adrienne Braswell

100 years ago Taos Pueblo Indians were the labor contracted to build a damn on the Cimarron river, creating what is now Eagle Nest Lake State Park. The region had been a renegade gold-mining outpost. The Village is throwing a festival this weekend to commemorate the centennial. A few years ago I did some hefty reporting on cattle mutilations in the area to the south of Eagle Nest and in Arroyo Hondo. And Jenny Bird will be hosting Goddess Fest this weekend. She joins us in the studio.
